Wale to Perform at GWU in Foggy Bottom
Arts & Culture

Rap star Wale will perform on Saturday, September 4th in Foggy Bottom for GWU's Fall Fest.

The DC area born and bred lyricist is already known throughout the District and continues to grow his name nationally.

After enduring disappointing sales for his CD Attention Deficit, Wale just released a mixtape entitled More About Nothing, which has had wild internet success.  The mixtape, which is available for free download online, is named More About Nothing because it incorporates soundbites from the sitcom "Seinfeld" on a number of tracks.

Wale's performance in Foggy Bottom will be free for any GWU student with valid student ID.

The concert will take place at 4 p.m. in GW's University Yard, located on H Street between 20th street and 21st street in NW.

Travie McCoy, the lead singer of the hip-hop band Gym Class Heroes will also be performing.

GW's program board is still looking for sponsors and volunteers for the event.  E-mail corporate@gwpb.org for more details.  The event will take place rain or shine.
