Here's something fun to do this weekend for a good cause.

Old Dominion Boat Club will host the 2012 National Capital Area Leukemia Cup Power Poker Run on Saturday, August 25.

The Leukemia Cup, which started in 2007, is a national program that raises money through various sailing and boating events for the Leukemia Lymphoma Society. Eight cents of every dollar raised is put toward research and patient services including financial aid for medical costs, support groups and educational programs.

Last year the events raised around $3.8 million nationally.
