Bootmobile Rolls Into D.C. Area

Bootmobile Rolls Into D.C. Area

Ever seen a boot on wheels? Now’s your chance!

L.L.Bean kicked off their 100th Anniversary earlier this year and to celebrate, they’re taking their larger-than-life Bootmobile on tour.

This 13-foot tall, 20.5-foot long, and 7.5-foot wide Bootmobile will be in town this weekend with events at Occoquan Regional Park and the L.L.Bean retail locations in McLean and Columbia, Md.

This is the perfect opportunity to enjoy some fun outdoor activities, and raise $1 million for the National Park Foundation this year.

Manassas Resident Wins Army Ten-Miler T-Shirt Design Contest

MANASSAS (WUSA) -- Congratulations Manassas resident, Peter Pawlak, who recently won the Army Ten-Miler's annual T-shirt Design Contest.

His winning design, which is featured above, will be displayed on more than 30,000 official runner and volunteer T-shirts for The Army's 28th annual Army Ten-Miler 2012 race in October.

His design was selected by a panel of military and civilians who judged the designs that best depicted the overall themes of Army and running.

Not only will Pawlak’s design be featured in the third largest 10-mile race in the world, but he also received a 17-inch MacBook Pro.

The 21-year-old is studying graphic design at George Mason, and is a freelance designer on the side who had a unique T-shirt concept that put him ahead of the pack.
