WASHINGTON, D.C. (WUSA) -- Are you a high school student who loves sports, TV and shooting video?  If so, the Campus Correspondent program is right for you, especially if you're interested in winning a college scholarship!

W*USA 9 and dc.highschoolsports.net are teaming up to bring Washington, DC the best high school sports coverage in the area, but we need your help!  During football and basketball season our dedicated group of high school students filmed highlights of games and reported scores from the sidelines.  In total correspondents turned in over 1,300 video clips of their schools' football and basketball games!

We are looking to add to our great team of correspondents, so if you're interested in applying for spring sports season, here's what the program entails:

  • We give you a free HD FlipCam and Campus Correspondent jacket
  • You film highlights of boys' and girls' varsity athletic events at your school
  • Your video will be posted online and could even be aired on TV during a W*USA 9 newscast
  • At the end of the season, top correspondents will earn college scholarships

To apply fill out the online application form.  The only requirement is that you are a high school student from the Washington, D.C. area.  No experience in filming or broadcast journalism is necessary.

Be sure to check out the video to the left, it's a great example of what our Campus Correspondents did this fall.  We look forward to hearing from you!
