Popular Italian Eatery Debuts Food Truck Tomorrow

Popular Italian Eatery Debuts Food Truck Tomorrow

For one day only, Chef Mike Isabella will be taking his non-traditional Italian eatery, Graffiato, on wheels throughout D.C. on Wednesday.

With the help of the restaurant’s partner, CityEats, Isabella will be passing out sample bites prepared at Graffiato for all to try.

Chef Isabella also plans to test his fans knowledge of ingredients with a “ Challenge Your Palate” contest. Those who win the contest could score free lunch at Graffiato or autographed copies of Isabella’s cookbook set to release in September.

Known for its hand-rolled pastas, delicious artisanal pizzas, and my favorite roasted potato gnocchi, see where the Graffiato Food Truck plans to stop on Wednesday.

All-You-Can-Eat Oysters At Local Restaurant

All-You-Can-Eat Oysters At Local Restaurant

Looking for something delicious to do this weekend?

The Chef/Owners at the newly opened Pearl Dive Oyster Palace, and Black Jack restaurants located at 1612 14th Street, invite you to an All- You-Can-Eat oyster feast on Saturday, July 14.

For $65, guests can enjoy unlimited oysters along with two varieties of beer and sparking wine.

Black Jack will support local oyster farmers by featuring local oyster companies, Rappahannock River Oysters and Broadwater Oyster Company.

After the oysters are consumed, Black Jack will collect the shells, and put them back into the local Virginia waters. This will help create new oyster habitats, and conserve the current oyster population.

Tickets go on sale Saturday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the restaurant located on 14th Street in D.C.

Brace Yourself D.C.: Chick-fil-A Food Truck To Debut in Farragut On Monday

Brace Yourself D.C.: Chick-fil-A Food Truck To Debut in Farragut On Monday

Many of my friends love Chick-fil-A.  Many of my friends also love food trucks.  The group of my friends who love both Chick-fil-A AND food trucks are about to see a fanciful dream realized.

That’s right people: Chick-fil-A is about to hit the D.C. streets on wheels.

The brand new Chick-fil-A food truck will make its debut in the District on Monday, July 9, serving lunch from 10:30 a.m.-2 p.m. right by Farragut North.

The Chick-fil-A truck in the Downtown D.C. will most likely be a smashing success, although the concept just makes me think of hundreds of post-lunch chicken-stained suits and dresses.

Anyway here are the deets(yeah I said ‘deets’!): Customers will be able to pay $8 to receive one entrée(either the Chick-fil-A Original Chicken Sandwich or 8-count Chicken Nuggets) as well as two sides(options include Cole Slaw, Side Salads, Fruit Cups, Potato Chips or Fudge Brownies).  You can also order menu items individually.
