Interior Visions

Interior Visions

For over two decades, Mona Hajj has been designing interiors that combine global vision with an emphasis on elegance, comfort, and simplicity. Named one of Architectural Digest's top 100 designers and architects, Hajj's interiors are colorful, textural, and abundantly livable. Her distinctly original and internationally influenced aesthetic is evidenced by her use of culturally and historically diverse adornments such as Persian rugs, Flemish tapestries, Japanese screens, Italian chandeliers, and Chinese chargers. On this evening, Hajj discusses select projects showcased in her book, Interior Visions (Random House, 2011), including a beach house in Delaware, a New York City apartment, the Embassy of Luxembourg here in Washington, D.C., and even her own home in Baltimore. 5 Winter Boots for Men

5 Winter Boots for Men

Like much of the Northeast, DC got hit hard by winter storms yesterday. Bundling up and preparing to go out in the cold is of great importance, especially when it comes to shoes. (Have you slipped on that ice? Ouch! It's brutal!). Here are 5 different winter boot options to get guys through the next part of winter.

1. For the Winter Sports Guy

In what has to be one of the greatest innovations ever for the winter shoe, this Columbia Bugathermo Boot is heated. Yup, it contains a heating system with rechargeable batteries. It's also waterproof and has a temperature display on the exterior of the boot.

2. For the Urban Cowboy

This X-Lace Boot by John Varvatos has a rough and tumble feel. It's currently on sale at Neiman Marcus for $359, down from its original $789 price tag.

3. For the Guy Who Likes to Mix it Up

Have you been Vajazzled?

It is not just for strippers...or celebrities anymore!

OK, call me crazy, but there is a new trend hitting D.C. that is already a popular in Los Angeles with celebrities such as Jennifer Love Hewitt called Vajazzle.  What is it?  It is authentic Swarovski crystals that come in various designs and colors that is placed on a persons nether regions for cosmetic purposes. These crystals are specifically chosen to be safe and comfortable for the wearer. They have flat backings and the crystal shape itself will not scratch or itch. They can easily be removed and safe to the skin. Why are women getting it?  Ask Jennifer Love Hewitt and she might say to make her feel better after her break up with Jamie Kennedy, others may tell you it just make them feel sexier, and some may say it is a great Valentines Day surprise for that special someone.
